Shrinkhala is a health record–keeping and information app, developed and operated as a CSR initiative by Doctors For You (DFY), a public health non-profit organization. This Privacy Policy explains what information Shrinkhala collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using Shrinkhala, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We only collect what you choose to enter or upload. Shrinkhala does not access your device's contacts, location, camera roll, or other apps beyond what is needed for the specific feature you use (e.g., the camera when you choose to photograph a report or prescription).
We do not use your health information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal or health data to anyone.
To provide automated reading and analysis features, Shrinkhala sends the following to OpenAI (a third-party AI provider) via its API:
This data is sent solely to generate the results shown back to you in the app. Under DFY's API usage terms with OpenAI, this data is not used by OpenAI to train its models. This is the only third party your health data is routinely shared with.
Your information is stored on servers operated by or on behalf of Doctors For You. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including authenticated access (login required) and encrypted transmission (HTTPS) — to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account and health information for as long as your account is active, so that you can access your history of reports, prescriptions, and vitals readings. You can delete individual reports, prescriptions, or vitals readings at any time from within the app. To request deletion of your entire account and associated data, contact us using the details below.
Shrinkhala does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. AI-generated risk scores, correlations, trends, and values extracted from photos are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Shrinkhala is intended for use by adults managing their own and their family members' health records. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
